Deparment of Entrepreneurship

Organized by the Department of Entrepreneurship, final presentations of the idea contest named “Start-Up Feast III” in which Taban Gıda was the main sponsor, and Bilgiyi Ticaretleştirme Merkezi (BTM) took part as the stakeholder, was held on Friday, May 13, 2022. In consequence of the final presentations’ being voted by the jury, the projects that ranked among the top three in the contest and the project that received the special jury award were determined. The "Digital Wheel" team, winning the first place in the contest, became the owner of fifteen thousand TL.

The Individual Young Entrepreneurship (BIGG) Program, in which 200 thousand TL grant support is provided to entrepreneurs who want to realize their business idea, was introduced to the students of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences by Marmara University Teknopark Inc. Entrepreneurship and Incorporation Specialist Doğukan Gezinti.

Lecturer Atty. Oğuz Kara, who has been teaching at the Department of Entrepreneurship for three years, has published his new book, "My Idea, My Decision". The book, in which the notes of the "Start-Up Law" course given in the department are included in an expanded version, and the conflicts that arise in business life in the current context are supported by case examples and summaries; It is thought that it will be beneficial for readers who want to establish a new venture or who want to learn about the possible legal problems of their current venture.

The application process for the "Start-Up Festival III", which will be held for the third time this year by the  Department of Entrepreneurship, with the main sponsorship of TABAN GIDA and with the contributions of the Information Commercialization Center (BTM), has begun

Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of Entrepreneurship students and lecturers came together on Wednesday, November 3rd. Head of Department Assist. Prof. Nazan Çağlar informed the students about the projects and activities. Our Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ali Şen, also attended the meeting where the projects of the students were also discussed.

The Department of Entrepreneurship, which welcomed its first students in the 2016-2017 academic year, had the excitement of producing graduates for the second time. The “Graduation Meeting” event, in which the students that are qualified to graduate at the end of 2020-2021 academic year and the academic staff are the participants, organized on July 7 Wednesday, online, via CATS.

“Start-Up Celebration” organised by the supports of Turkey Entrepreneurs and Job Mentors Association (TUGİM) and EntreCom, with the moderation of Istanbul Kültür University the Department of Entrepreneurship.
