Entrepreneurship Education at İKÜ

Entrepreneurship, which is accepted as an important component of change and transformation in the developing and changing world politics, has taken its place in İKÜ. Graduates of the İKÜ Department of Entrepreneurship, which aims to raise educated, equipped, innovative entrepreneurs, who know what, how and when to do something, are aware of the resources they can access and most of all, their entrepreneurial talents, will be important actors in Turkey’s economy.
 

Education Process

The İKÜ Department of Entrepreneurship aims to provide the necessary training and equipment to students so that they can realize employment opportunities by identifying the opportunities offered to them, analyzing them accurately and converting them into marketable permanent economic products and services and create jobs. In this process, our aim is to give students the opportunity to gain and/or develop entrepreneurial features and to teach them entrepreneurial stance, attitudes and skill set. Our Department has adopted an education model that aims to equip students with competence in more than one field including business, economics, marketing and sales techniques, integration of information and communication technologies with finance and trade, innovation and digital management. The medium of instruction in our Department is Turkish. Students can benefit from the wide Erasmus network of our Faculty and can enroll in the Double Major and Minor Programs in all the departments. In addition, they have the opportunity to improve their language skills through Chinese, Russian, German and professional English courses during their undergraduate studies. With the wide industrial cooperation network of our Faculty, our students will receive an education that is intertwined with the business world.
